Production sites extended for both TENCEL® and Lenzing Modal®.
The Lenzing group, global market leader for cellulosic fibers, plans to significantly expand its production capacities and will invest EUR 120 million in both Europe and Asia. The projects will be complete by 2011. Key measures include the expansion of pulp supply and the increase in the Modal production capacity in Lenzing (Austria), a significant expansion of the site in Heiligenkreuz (Austria) and the reconstruction of the English site for TENCEL® in Grimsby (UK).

Lenzing FR® is a cellulose fiber which has been proven to provide exceptionally high heat protection. Protective clothing wearers’ physiological performance power was examined in an extensive study. The results were presented to specialists at Interschutz 2010 together with the author of the study, Univ.-Prof. Herfried Pessenhofer.
